Below are a few of my favorite Etsy shops for vanity lighting. When Etsy launched its #StandWithSmall campaign to support the small businesses and independent creatives on their platform, we had to give some of our favorite retro Etsy shops a shoutout. You can #StandWithSmall, help out digital mom and pop shops, and spiff up wherever you’re sheltering-in-place when you buy home decor on Etsy. That said, I have been on the hunt for the perfect option B and have found some great contenders. If you are shopping on Etsy, or anywhere on the internet, for home goods, shop early and be flexible. ![]() I have found that quite a bit in my Etsy search, with the home renovation boom, many shops are bogged down with orders and lead times have increased, they’ve temporarily closed their shop, or they are not taking custom orders. I actually had my heart set on another light by them for this bath, but their shop is currently closed. In my studio bath renovation, that I completed last year for the One Room Challenge, used the pretty light pictured below, by DL Design Works. The options are endless, the pricing is usually good an, items are often customizable and they are made by artisans. I spend lots and lots of time looking at lighting for clients, and one of my favorite resources is Etsy. That’s it for the updates on the progress, now for the fun stuff! The were able to do the work and we spent Saturday ripping apart the bathroom! She is demoed and ready for a new tub which, if all goes well will be installed at the end of the week! We had originally planned for demo this past weekend, but would need the water properly turned off before hand. The plumber recommended by my father-in-law, who gave a reasonable estimate, moved away and the company the first guy recommended gave a quote four times his price!! Needless to say, we did not hire them, and weren’t sure if the project was going to start on time. This week I’ll be talking about lighting, but first I want to give you a recap of the last week. You can see my plans on Week 1 and my debate on the shower tile pattern on week 2. This week we actually started working on the kid’s bathroom. I cannot believe we have already made it to Week 3 of the One Room Challenge.
